Welcome to the world as seen through my lens! As an avid outdoorswoman, my interest in nature photography is an excellent companion to my passion for our coastal and inland communities, allowing me to capture magical moments both on the water and on land. A lifetime Florida resident, I continue to traverse the State in search of the hidden gems, those rare moments that inspire awe and joy in me, and I am thrilled to be able to share them with you, through the eyes of a sportswoman and passionate conservationist.
When my photography journey crossed the parallel from hobby to profession, I knew without a doubt that in addition to capturing uninterrupted nature, I also wanted to spotlight the importance of family in our beautiful environment. Incorporating the best of Mother Nature with stunning couples, glowing expectant parents and joyous families allows legacy pieces to be created, with soft editing and the focus on the splendor of nature surrounding them.
TRUST THE PROCESS
For me, Heirloom Quality Photos aren’t a preconceived choreographed set of poses, they are points in time where I am allowed the privilege of capturing treasured lifestyle moments in beautiful surroundings.
Before your session, I want to hear ALL about YOU during a phone consultation. Our casual chat is a great opportunity to allow me to best meet your expectations! We can talk about locations, session kind and style, time of day, special considerations or needs and set up a great time of day or evening to schedule your time behind the lens. Once we have that all sorted, we can handle the deposit and finalize plans.
On location, I like to meet in person for a few moments before even shooting the first photo. This doesn’t start the “clock”, it is just a great icebreaker so that everyone is comfortable- happy and relaxed shows and shines! After a quick meet and greet, especially important with kids and fur babies, we can get started. We will work through a series of prompts, including some spontaneous and traditional poses and client requests. It is a joy to see the progression of results as we move through the session, as my clients become more relaxed in front of the lens! Depending on your package, we may have more than one location or outfit, and as we approach the end of the session, we want to make sure we have captured every combination and scenario you envisioned. I love to give a few raw image peeks while we are closing out and handling payment!
Your Gallery! Great photos not only require a talented photographer, editing skill is everything. Depending on the number of subjects, the size of the session, the location and the time of day, the editing that enhances the quality and appearance of your photographs is always the most laborious part of the process. Of the multitude of images we capture together, I sort and
evaluate each one for suitability, subtly editing shade, contrast and color, refining and sharpening some places, softening and smoothing others. And just know, that while I won’t release an unfinished gallery, I love the surprise of a sneak peek or two of the best of the images as I am in the process of editing and organizing! Once released, your gallery is yours to download via computer or phone. I can offer prints at a very competitive price, or you can source those yourself for as many copies and uses as you like!
